HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a M&S/LVC Systems Integration Engineer to work at the Warrior Preparation Center in Einsiedlerhof, Germany (approximately 10 minutes from Ramstein AB, Germany.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in assigned simulations, systems, tools, associated networking devices, and latest operating systems at the WPC.

  • As new and emerging technologies develop, evaluate and test the new technology and make recommendations to the WPC Chief of LVC Integration for use during WPC events.

  • Support the operational and technical aspects of USAFE-AFAFRICA LVC theater M&S integration.

  • Coordinate technical planning and engineering, and provide realistic simulation support for training exercises and mission rehearsals within USEUCOM and USAFRICOM, as well as the theaters’ Component Commands using JNTC capabilities and LVC for USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, COCOM Components, NATO and Allies.

  • Recommend the purchase and operation of simulation related software, communications, computer and technical facility modifications required for LVC integration in USAFE-AFAFRICA.

  • Promote the interchange of information on exercise requirements, capabilities, deficiencies, and technology applications for the program.

  • Analyze problems discovered in prior exercises or actual operations and advise higher levels of management on the feasibility of different approaches which provide a basis for better planning of M&S systems and networks.

  • Coordinate with the Joint Staff J7 JNTC Service liaison officer (LNO) and other action officers located in joint staff and HHQs on systems engineering issues.

  • Participate in training and exercise planning and development relating to LVC in the USAFE and AFAFRICA theaters.

  • Implement and document LVC capabilities in USAFE theater events, and seek to incorporate such capabilities in order to improve WPC projects, plans and systems. Effective USAFE-AFAFRICA LVC theater integration requires extensive technical expertise in order to fully exploit theater M&S (LVC) systems capabilities.

  • Successfully integrate existing theater LVC capabilities with emerging technologies and approaches, enhancing the fidelity and availability of theater LVC environments. The Contractor shall be able to successfully link WPC capabilities with theater Joint and Coalition LVC capabilities to support realistic warfighter training.

  • Manage and support M&S systems and associated tools, protocols, software, hardware, visualizers, and databases including, but not limited to: M&S network architecture, protocols, and/or integration software: High Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer

  • Highly proficient in and possess all the necessary certifications needed to effectively operate the simulations, systems, and their associated components.


  • Distributed Mission Training Development and Management experience.

  • Familiarity with developing Blended LVC Exercise and Training events.

  • Experience with joint/Allied exercises and/or training development and execution.

  • Familiarity with layer 2 and layer 3 networking devices (switches/routers), software engineering principles and programming.


  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.

  • Secret clearance (fully adjudicated and eligible for NATO).
